An EV charger install in a Wingham village property is not the same job as in a Canterbury cul-de-sac. The rural feeds are longer, the DNO transformer is further away, and the incoming main fuse is more often 60A than 80A or 100A. That means load management and DNO paperwork matter here in a way they do not on new-build estates.

UKPN and DNO paperwork
UK Power Networks Southern covers Wingham. For a single 7kW charger with load management, notification is fast-track under G98. For a second charger or a 22kW three-phase install, G99 pre-approval is needed and can take four to six weeks. We file both on your behalf.
Cable route
Direct-buried SWA where you are trenching anyway. Surface clipped 6mm T&E in white PVC conduit where the run is short and along a garage wall. Every route agreed before work starts so you are not surprised by a cable line across the front of the house.
OZEV grant
The EV chargepoint grant is now limited to flats and rented properties. Owner-occupier houses no longer get the £350 off. Landlords fitting chargers for tenant use still qualify; ask us if you want the grant paperwork filed.
