Telling the network operator
The network operator for Wingham is South Eastern Power Networks, part of UK Power Networks. We tell them about every charger we install, and larger installations need their approval before work starts. We handle the paperwork for you.
Cable route
Direct-buried SWA where you are trenching anyway. Surface clipped 6mm T&E in white PVC conduit where the run is short and along a garage wall. Every route agreed before work starts so you are not surprised by a cable line across the front of the house.
OZEV grant
The EV chargepoint grant is now limited to flats and rented properties. Owner-occupier houses no longer get the £350 off. Landlords fitting chargers for tenant use still qualify; ask us if you want the grant paperwork filed.
